Program Overview

The Foundational Year is where students will gain foundational values, knowledge, skills and impartation that will help equip, shape, mold and expand students to become active participants in God’s work as it relates to their calling.

As a student of The River Culinary Institute, you will learn how to couple the anointing, creativity, and hard work to reach diverse culinary and hospitality communities with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Upon successful completion of this program, you will have the experience and expertise to impact your realm of influence with professional standards consistent with God’s Word.

Our curriculum encompasses comprehensive in-class instruction, hands-on application, and ministry service opportunities, ensuring students are fully equipped from the inside out to fulfill God’s plans for their lives.

In the third year, in conjunction with offered courses, students will receive hands-on training from all department heads at The River at Tampa Bay Church to obtain working knowledge of day-to-day operations in a church and ministry setting.
